Braces!!!
Brittany got her braces this afternoon. After two hours in the orthodontist's chair she walked out with a full mouth of metal. Right now she is not too excited about the prospect of wearing braces for 18 months, especially since the pain is setting in, at least the pain doesn't last for long. She wasn't very happy with me when I got out the camera to mark this milestone.

Hello Elizabeth and Brittany! I absolutely LOVE all the updates on the site! Your pictures are GREAT! Even the braces picture! (That might actually be my favorite!) I like them! I had braces too, they are hard to get used to at first, but after a week or two, they aren't so bad. A little Advil before each appointment is key! My brackets on the top were actually clear, so we used "smoke" or "gray" colored bands on them, because they are colorfast (they won't change color no matter WHAT you eat!) Trust me, braces are worth it in the long run, and if you do everything the orthodontist says, you might even be done early! They initially told me 2-2.5 years...well I had them off in 18 months! :) They look so cute, and when they come off, your smile will be even more exquisite!
